Κινέζικο σκαλιστό και κεντητό παραβάν. A Chinese carved and pierced rosewood three fold screen, the frame enclosing three embroidered panels with two cranes and a peacock. The metallic gilt thread finely embroidered on turquoise silk fabric protected with glazing. The frames carved in high relief with foliate scrollwork and crowned with an arched top. Total Height 127cm, total width 160cm. Late Qing Dynasty, circa late 19th / early 20th century. Prov.: MI03 Estimate: €1000–2000 |
