A Russian silver and shaded cloisonné enamelled multi coloured tea holder with clear glass and spoon, of cylindrical form with a loop handle, decorated with stylised flowers within turquoise pellet borders, impressed makers initials MC, possibly for Maria Semenova, Moscow 1899-1908, 84 standard, presented in a wooden box lined with silk and stamped with the K. Fabergé logo marked Moscow, St. Petersburg and Odessa. There are some indications that Maria Semenova was commissioned to work for Faberge (“Guide to Russian Silver Hallmarks” by Paul Paulson, p. 25) Provenance: offered by L.Tolstoy to the present owner’s great grand father.
