An oak Wellington style cutlery canteen having brass plaque inscribed “Presented to Walter S Dromgoole by Members of the St Helen’s Golf Club 18th December 1906” and containing a silver plated cutlery set made by James Dixon & Sons – Sheffield, in the Old English pattern with all spoons having Hanoverian tail. The set comprising 2 knife rests with ‘X’ and ball terminals, 1 serving set (fork, knife, steel & pick with ivory handles), 12 dinner forks, 12 dinner knives with ivorine handles, 12 dessert forks, 12 desert knives with ivorine handles, 12 desert spoons, 12 engraved fish forks with ivory handles, 12 engraved fish knives with ivory handles, 5 egg spoons, 4 caviar spoons, 1 mustard spoon, 12 tea spoons, 3 large serving spoons and a butter knife with ivorine handle. Total 116 pieces.
