Ξιφολόγχη 19ου αιώνα. The stamps on this bayonet show that it was made in Germany by Kirschbaum & Bremshey but diverted to France, presumably for the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. The 57.5cm yataghan T section blade shows pitting and age related tarnishand is marked on the ricasso with Kirschbaum. The ribbed brass handle is sound and the spring mechanism works well.
