Ασημένιο διακοσμητικό κεφαλιού.

An Ottoman silver filigree woman’s head ornament “tepelik” made in 2 separate disks. The top one decorated with rosettes & wirework domes with a central cabochon turquoise. The bottom disk framed by a leaf & serpentine motifs; painted with lacquer or resin, punched holes around the border to be sewn onto a felt hat. Late-Ottoman, end of 19th century. Probably from SE Anatolia (Adana/Gaziantep/Aleppo area). Diameter 16cm, Weight 250 gr. (2)
