A rare vintage A/S HELLE FABRIKKER NORWAY Hunting knife 18/8 HIGH CARBON EDGE, the blade L125mm, together with a handmade Hunting knife by Iisakki Järvenpää Finland. Blade in stainless steel, length of blade is 80mm, the handle in birch. Both knives in leather belt sheaths. (4)

In 1879, Mr. Iisakki Järvenpää founded the knife factory in Kauhava, Finland, which bears his name. The Finnish factory Iisakki Järvenpää was a supplier to the Russian tsar’s court until 1917. When Finland was founded in 1917, Iisakki Järvenpää became a supplier to the Finnish army. Even today, graduates of Finnish officers’ schools receive as a symbolic gift a knife Iisakki Järvenpää at the end of their studies and during their subsequent withdrawal from active military service.
