Frantzolas was born in Athens in 1962.  His love for art, and particularly of painting, manifested itself at an early age.  He graduated from the School of Fine Arts from 1982 to 1987 with first-class honours in painting and received a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation to study stage design. Works by Frantzolas are to be found in private and public collections in Greece and abroad, and in the Citibank Private Bank Collection in London, with Eurobank, in the Vorres Museum, and in the “House of the Actor”. He lives and works in Athens.
