Γαλλική μπιζουτιέρα “Μπούλ” 18ου αιώνα.

French Louis XV Boulle and gilt bronze Jewelry box c18th century, decorated throughout with scrolling brass work and inlaid with ebony and ivory figures, the hinged lid with a Lernaean Hydra decoration, opening to reveal a lined interior, the bombe sides flanked by applied hunting motifs, raised on gilt bronze mask feet, W37X28cm, H14cm.

Marked to the underside “Frogmore” probably the Frogmore House, 17th-century English country house owned by the Crown Estate situated near the grounds of Windsor Castle. Frogmore was let to a number of tenants until the late 18th century, when it was used intermittently as a residence for several members of the royal family.
